D.W. Griffith was born on 22 January 1875 in Kentucky and died on the 23rd of July 1948

Skipping forward to a more modern director. David Fincher is one of my personal favourite directors and the director of many award-winning thrillers. David Fincher has a specific style and his style is using lowkey lighting and heavy use of shadows to create suspense and tension.

David Fincher was born on the 28th of August 1962 and is currently 59 years old.
