Fonts and Writings

Fonts and Writings associated with the Thriller genre.

Fonts and writing convey important information to the viewer and create a visual identity that can be associated with the show or the movie.

Firstly, the choice of font can convey a lot about the tone of the production.

For example, a horror movie may use a bold, jagged font to create a sense of unease and suspense, while a romantic comedy may use a playful, script font to convey a softer tone

For example, in this thriller, uncut gems, the font which is used in the opening sequence represents the label on a diamond or on jewellery. this gives the audience the impression that the movie will be about jewellery and diamonds.

Secondly, in this movie, Zombieland, a red font is used which symbolises blood and death. This gives the impression to the audience that this movie will be about death and killing.

Fonts and writings are important in an opening sequence as they help establish the tone and mood of the piece.

From these examples, you can see the big effect the fonts and the writing have on the movie from the very start. This must be taken into account when creating a thriller as although fonts and writing may not seem very important, it is actually very important for creating a movie.
